Do what you love and love what you do”. The words that empowered a young Indian man’s journey to a land unknown. Armed with the experience garnered from working his way through the depths of the kitchen right to the top of a leading chain in India, The Taj, Leslie Gomez recognized the potential he had within himself, as well as what Malaysia had to offer, and braved the paths to mould his future. What started as a simple aspiration has now expanded into a 24-outlet enterprise that employs over 500 staff.
The Founder-Managing Director of The Olive Tree Group has officially made his name known across the Malaysian peninsula with the establishment of outlets in Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highlands, Johor, Malacca, Penang, and Langkawi. Under Leslie’s helm, the outlets are now recognised as top-notch fine dining haven for one to experience an unparalleled gastronomical affair.
Leslie Gomez’s leadership has amounted to the paramount recognition of the group in the business world with many accolades and awards from reputed organizations. From 2003 to 2022, the group has been awarded distinctions as one of the Best F&B outlets to visit. Despite numerous entrepreneurial awards, the success is credited to his gospel truth, “Teamwork makes the dream work”.
